The student life is said to be the seed time of life. If we want good crops, the seed have to be sown at the proper time. So, the student shoul use their time for gathering/improving the various knowledges.

 

Primary Duty:

The main duty of a student is to study and learn more. He must acquire the good qualities like obedience, punctuality, honesty, hard working, truthfulness etc. He should be studious and hard working.

 

Duties for the parents:

 A student belongs to a family and he must respect his family and their sentiment and identity. A student must respect and love his parents. He should shine his family’s name and image.

 

Duties for the society:-

A student is a part of society and he must have duties for his society. He must do social services as far possible. He must help the people during the time of flood, earthquake or any other emergency. He can join in the programmes like blood donation, afforestation, biterary programmes etc.

 

Duties for career and health:

A student must be career centric and studious. He should try to be excellent in his work. He must take care of his health. He must do physical exercise regularly. Because, today’s student is the future citizen of a society.

Introduction:-

Flood has become almost a regular problem in Assam and some other parts of our country. It causes various/several/many problems for the people.

 

Why Flood Occurs:-

Flood is caused by an excessive flow in rivers, during the rainy season. Heavy rains in the mountains and hills also cause the flood.

 

Its effects: -

 The damage caused by flood is beyond estimation. For the flood, standing crops are destroyed, cattle die, properties are damaged or lost, and houses collapse.

 

Relief Measures:

 Some reliefs of food, clothes, funds and for the shelter are made by the Government and some social service organizations.

 

How the floods control:

The only way in which floods is under controlled by erection of drams or embankments in the Brahmaputra Valley and the Barak Valley. The river valley projects are also some of the measures undertaken on a nationwide scale to control the flood.

 

Conclusion:

The natural calamaties are not to be finished or removed totally but can be save or control a little. So, the government and the people themselves should cooperate on this regard.

Introduction:

Today, many books are available for reading and knowledgably. But, a few books are interested and can provide a moral for human being. I mention here a book which can intend me.

Title of the Book:

The title of the book is ‘Fasting Feasting’ written by famous female novelist Anita Desai. The meaning of the title is, ‘Fasting’ means without being food and ‘Feasting’ means full of food facility.

Subject Matter:

The subject of this book is provided by the character of ‘Uma’ and Arun’. The character ‘uma’ provides the main theme of ‘Fasting’, who stayed without much facility of food, education and marriage. The other main character is ‘Arun’ who provides the other main theme of ‘Feasting’ who stayed full of facility in every field in his life.

It’s important/Importance of this book:

This book is most important for Indian Society. Because, in Indian Society, boys are given more important than the girls. This book provides this main important theme to understand the sufferings of girls.

Why do I like this book?

I like this book very much. The reason is that this book provides us the important of girls. Besides, it provides some secret sorrows of girls and their conditions to understand by all.

Conclusion

A book provides us many important matters to human being. Also, a book criticises the social inequality and provides support with suggest in a life like this. So, we should read carefully and should find out the important morals to apply in our day to day life.

Introduction:-

More than anything else, I love reading. I read all kinds of books notably, travels, adventure stories, fiction, detective fiction and poetry from different author.

Name of the author:

  I think I love Nirad C Choudhury more than other writer. Because I can understand his writings and Internel knowledges easily .

Why do I like most him:

  He was recognized as a great author.His writings are based on his vast experience of sociological issue and various morel ideas of life .

A brief description of his work

His first book was ‘’ An autobiography of an unknown India which appeared in 1951. His second book was ‘’   A passage to his first short visit to England as a record of his first short visit  to Britain in 1960. His third book was ‘’ The continent of circe ‘’ in 1965 about the immigration of hindus . Besides, he had written a few more books like ‘’Clive of India , Scholar Extraordinary ‘’ and so on.

Why he is Favourite:

He is favourite as ‘’He writes like an aangel also’’ . Also , he has vast range of knowledges .

                                               

Conclusion:

Every reader has different favourite author fo0r their writing . But it would be stay favourite if we use and follow  the knowledges and experience of the author.

Introduction :   

Pollution is the contamination of nature and the earth’s atmosphere. Along with the progress of science and technology, the intensity of pollution is increasing day by day.

Types of pollution :

  There are four types of pollution, i.e., air pollution, water pollution, sound pollution, and land pollution.

Reasons behind pollution :  

Excessive burning of fossil fuels is leading to air pollution. Harmful smokes and fumes are being released from the factories, vehicles, power plants etc. These are getting mixed with the environment. Likewise, harmful and non-biodegradable waste products are being thrown into water and land, thereby causing water and land pollution. Too much noise can also affect human health. So, it can cause sound pollution.

The effects of pollution :  

Human health is badly affected by pollution. Air pollution may cause bronchitis, asthma, and other respiratory diseases. Too much release of CO and other harmful gases is depleting the ozone layer. Drinking water from flowing water sources may cause illness because garbage and filth are thrown into it. Pollution of land decreases fertility of soil. Sound pollution affects our auditory organs.

Measures to check pollution :    

 Pollution can be checked by creating awareness among people to keep the environment clean and promote afforestation. We should stop using loudspeakers at public places to prevent sound pollution.

Conclusion :       

Preventing pollution is not beyond our capacity. We must be aware of the effects of pollution so that we may leave a better world for the generations to come.

Introduction:

Discipline is the adherence to some rules and regulations. It is also implies the following of order imposed by the higher authorities.

It’s importance:

Discipline has value in all aspects of life. Discipline is of utmost importance in the society. There are some rules, customs and traditions in every society. These rules can only be given a proper and an actual life to live a life without much difficulty.

It’s value in student life:

Students must be in disciplined in their studies. If they are in discipline in every field then they can be done anything in related to their studies. It also helps them to complete the whole learning’s in easily and wholly.

It’s effect on human being:

Discipline affects every human being in their life. If any man tries to do every work in discipline then all the works have been done easily and entirely satisfaction.

It’s effect on every field:

Discipline is needed in every field. If we use in every field in discipline then every work has been done totally/entirely with much satisfaction. So, we should manage in every field in discipline.

Conclusion:

Discipline is the backbone of character. Discipline ensures success, peace and happiness. So, we should be discipline for our own benefit.

Introduction :   

The newspaper is a necessity in modern life.  It gives us news what is happening in the world . Politics religion, economy, society, movies, food  etc.

Classification :  

  Newspaper  can be classified according to the number of times they appear in a year. Some are printed daily, some twice in a week, .

Advantages of Newspaper : 

Newspapers serve many purposes.. They keep us informed of what is happening in other parts of the country and the world. They give us information about the latest inventions, researches, discoveries, etc. and new ideas.. They also  serve as a link between the people and the Government.

Disadvantages of Newspaper :  

 It has been said above that newspapers wield much power and influence. Now, this power can be abused also. In that case, it is capable of doing tremendous harm. It may spread communal hatred and foment rebellion or revolt.

Conclusion :   

Many papers serve a particular interest and give biased views. Therefore, people should not be led away by false news or by the views of particular paper. They should exercise their own judgment and form their own opinion.

 

 

8.Our School Magazine

What a school magazine is : 

A School magazine is a collection of creative writings of students and teachers of a school in printed form. It may also contain data of the school and relevant photographs. School magazines are generally published annually, but there may be exceptions too.

How it is managed and published : 

A magazine committee or an editorial board is formed to collect writings and make selection. An editor is nominated to supervise all the tasks right from the beginning to the end. He has to classify the writings as poetry, articles, drama etc and divide tasks among the editorial board members. Then he has to collect greetings from well-wishers of the school. He has to compose an editorial. After getting the selected writings he has to contact a printing house. The printing house makes a draft of the manuscript on computer and hands it over to him for proof-reading. After the proof-reading is done, the magazine is arranged nicely. An attractive front cover is made. Then it is sent for offset printing. Thus it is published.

Name of our school magazine :                  

       Our school magazine is named “Gyan Sagar”. Every year it  is published  with some new topics .

Contents :        

This issue of school magazine has various sections such as “Articles”, “Poetry”, “Drama”, “Stories”, “Interviews” etc.. Besides these, there are a lot of photographs of school activities such as Annual Sports and Cultural Week, Teachers’ Day Celebration, Fresher’s Social, Farewell Meeting etc.

Conclusion :   

 A school magazine is a must in every school. It brings out the creative talent of the students and encourages them for learning.

 

9. My Favourite Festival/ The festival I like most/A Festival in My area/Bihu

 

Introduction:

                        Every community has different festivals. These are act on timely in every year. Like others, my favourite festival is ‘Bihu’ which has been celebrating from our forefathers.

 

Classification of this festival/Bihu:

                        The bihu is devided into three parts, Bohag Bihu or Rangali Bihu, Kati Bihu or Kangali Bihu and Magh Bihu or Bhogali Bihu.

 

Definition and Meaning of the bihu:

                        The Bohag Bihu or the Rangali Bihu means the bihu of enjoyment, Kati or Kangali Bihu which means lack of food and others and Magh Bihu or Bhugali which means lots of feasting and ‘Bhug’.

 

Time/duration of celebrationg this festival/Bihu:

The time of Bohag Bihu or Rangali Bihu is seven days or may be a month, the Kati Bihu is one day affair specially at dusk only and the Magh Bihu or Bhogali is two days affair, Uruka in the bhelaghars and mejis and the day of the Magh Bihu.

 

The Important of this festival/Bihu:

                        The bihu is the main festival of Assam. It provides lots of happiness in different parts. In Bohag Bihu , the first day is ‘Garu Bihu’ which is important for the pets or animals with bath and care. The other days are ‘Rangali bihu’ where people enjoy in different kinds like sports, travelling, bihu dance, function and so on.

                        The Kati bihu is important for the peasants or ploughmen who light earthen lamp mat or ‘Akash Banti’ or Sky lamp in the corn fields. Also, the childrens and the women pray and sing ‘Tulasi Bhajan’ or chant at the foot of the tulasi plant with light, incense (dhup) and resin (dhuna).

                         The Magh Bihu is special for the fire rituals and also the ‘Bhug’ or feasting, means lots of food facility.

 

Conclusion:

The different customs of Assam has been celebrating this festival/bihu from earlier. We should celebrate this festival/bihu every year and should act on as a custom and continuing for the future generation.

 

10. Science in every day life/Effects of Science/Importance of Science

Introduction:

                        Science is a systematic knowledge. It depends upon truth and logic. At present time, it is used as a best friend by human being.

Gifts of science in daily life:

Without science, today’s human being does not live entirely/wholly. Science provides a most comfortable, easiest and happiest life for everyone in every work.

Science for villages or villagers:

                        Most of the villages are depended on farming. On this regard, science provides water supplies’ facility, chemicals for the corn fields and so on. Now a days, all the villagers are also facilited at different kinds like electricity, tv, mobile, and many others.

Science for Urban or Town Areas:

                        Only science makes the urban or town areas as urban or town. In town areas, most of the works has been done directly by science with the use of machines, technologies, computers, cars, and any other else.

Bad or Negative Effects of science:

                        Science makes men lazier, tiredfull and amazement life where men can not do anything without science. Also, science makes the pollutions like air, sound etc. Besides, for the atom bomb, firearms, computers, mobiles and some others, many criminal works or crimes are happenning in this world.

Conclusion:

                        In this world, science is used both positively and negatively. But, we should always care and use in our positive manners or works. Then only, science makes us happiest and most wonderful life with no harms and no problems.

 

 

11.A Picnic Party Attended by Me

Introduction :    A picnic is an outing or a pleasure trip generally made on New Year’s Eve.

Why picnics are necessary :   Picnics are necessary because they break the monotony of our daily lives. We get delightful experiences in new places amid natural surroundings.

The place I went for picnic :  Along with fifty of my classmates, I went to Bhomoraguri near Kaliabhomora bridge in Sonitpur district. We had picnic on the sandbank of the mighty river Brahmaputra.

Description of the picnic :  Last year, in December, after the Pre-Final Test had been over, we the students of Class X arranged a picnic party to Bhomoraguri under the guidance of Mr XYZ sir. The trip was proposed to start on 31st December at 6:00 a.m. from the school premises. On the appointed day, all of gathered at school and boarded the two mini buses. The buses set out on time. The students started frolicking, dancing and singing. At around 8:30 a.m. we reached the destination. The surroundings were awesome with the hills, the river, the sandbank and the bridge at a distance. Some of us got busy preparing meal and many went out for an outing. At noon, all were called to have meal. After having meal, we got on the bus for the return journey. Again we started having fun as before. The bus reached school at around 3:30 p.m. We bade adieu to each other and returned to our homes.

Conclusion : This trip was a memorable experience for me. I particularly liked the company of my friends whom I would miss after the HSLC Examination is over.

12.Physical Exercise

Introduction : No one can be happy without good health. To be healthy, physical exercise is necessary. Physical exercise keeps the body fit and free from diseases.

Kinds : There may be several kinds of physical exercise. These are swimming, riding, playing games and sports, jogging, walking, running, tracking, boating, gardening and so on. These should be done in the open air for maximum benefit.

Its use  It is said that a sound mind lives in a sound body. It improves both our body and mind. Physical exercise strengthens our immune system. So, various diseases can not attack us easily. In the long run, physical exercise can increase our longevity and happiness.

Its value to students : Students should be very cautious of their health. If their health is not sound, they cannot study hard. They will find it difficult to concentrate on studies. As a result, their performance will degrade. So they should take proper care of health through physical exercises. They should take active part in the games and sports at school and join N.C.C. and N.S.S.

Conclusion :    We must keep in mind that over-exercise is detrimental to health. It should be taken in the proper manner. Some sorts of physical exercise are not fit for some people. So, they should choose the right physical exercises according to their own needs.


13.Our School Library

Our school library is one of the assets to our school. It is the treasure house of knowledge, past and present. It is so because the world’s mighty brains are represented there through their works. Just a glance would show that the names of great writers of the world are found side by side in the shelves of our library.

Our library is a quiet spot in our school. It is housed in one of the wings of our school building. Gilded volumes decorate the glass chests. There are different shelves for different languages. Thus one finds books on English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali and so on. For each language, books are classified under different heads. Thus there are books on drama, prose, poetry, etc. There is also a number of reference books. The walls of the library are decorated with portraits of great writers.

The library is very well equipped for comfortable reading. Cushion seats are provided for students to use during the day. One can take any book from the shelves, sit there and read undisturbed by anybody. So one can find a number of boys and girls there in the evenings reading books.

Another attraction of our library is the reference room. A number of dailies, and magazines are regularly received. The illustrated magazines are the attractions for us, students.

The library service is very efficient. There is an able librarian, who is also well read. One can have a free access to the shelves and pick up any book one likes. There are two index cabinets, one according to subjects and the other according to the authors. So one never finds it difficult to choose the right book.

The library is very well utilized both by the students and the members of the staff. The students are well trained in silent reading. The library is a very useful place for self-study. When assignments are given by teachers, students make full use of the library to their advantage. Thus our library is a place for intellectual work in our school.

 

14.Punctuality

Meaning of punctuality:- The habit of doing a thing in proper time is called punctuality. A punctual man always does a work in time. He is never behind time.

Usefulness in personal life: Punctuality is of supreme value in everyday life. We all know the value of time. Lost time can never be gained. Time is life. We shall have to do a great deal of work in our limited span of life. Punctuality is the only means by which we can turn out the greatest amount of work in a limited time. If we do not insist on doing our work in time, we can never hope to finish it well. To alive a peaceful life a man must be punctual. A punctual man can make his life glorious. He never complains of want of time.

Important of social Life:  Punctuality is needed is every walk of life. It is a blessing for students. A punctual student comes to school just in time and carefully follows the work done in class. Thus he gains the benefits of class teaching. A boy who is not punctual comes late and consequently misses a lot of teaching and is rebuked by the teacher. These same problems happen in other persons also. If we all together become punctual then our social life become good and perfect.

Punctuality in nature: Punctuality is the soul of business. It is essential to business and professional people. A businessman has to keep appointments at the right moment with men busy like himself. But his failure to do so wins for him a bad name and this hampers his business. A professional man cannot shine in his profession if he is unpunctual.

Conclusion: Punctuality is the soul of modern life. A punctual man causes inconvenience both to himself and to others. He is always in hurry, and in the end he loses both time and good name. He cannot successfully do his duty. He cannot win the faith of the man with whom he deals. So he fails to attain success in life. We should always be punctual. The habit of punctuality should be acquired in childhood and continue until death.

 

15. An essay on the ‘Kaziranga National Park’

1.Introduction:

A National park is a park officially recognized by a nations government. National parks are often made to protect the several animals. Among the various national parks, ‘Kaziranga National Park’ is a great and famous sanctuary especially for one horned rhinoceroses.

2.History of Kaziranga National Park”

In 1994, Kaziranga was a protected area. After failing to see a single rhinoceros Mary Curzon requested her husband to protect for rhinos immediately. On 1 June, 1905 the Kaziranga proposed ‘Reserve Forest’ of 232 K.M. In 1916, it was re-designated the ‘Kaziranga Game Sanctuary’, in 1950 ‘Kaziranga Wildlife Sanctuary’ and finally in 1985, it was declared a ‘World Heritage Site’ by UNESCO.

3.Geography of Kaziranga National Park:

Kaziranga is located between two districts latitudes 260 30/N and 26045/N and longitudes within two districts the Kaliabar Subdivision of Nagaon District and the Bokakhat subdivision of Golaghat District.

4.Fauna and Flora:

There are many faunas like one horned Rhinoceros (1,855), wild Asiatic Water Buffalo (1,660), eastern swamp deer, elephants, gaur, sambar and lots of others and many floras like different species, alphania rubra, leea indica, ficus rumphil and many others are available in Kaziranga.

5.Visitor Activities of Kaziranga

Observed the wildlife, including birding, is the main visitor activity in and around the park. Guided tours by elephant or jeep are available. Some tourist lodges are also available.

Like this national park, a national park is a park in use for conservation purposes; often it is a reserve of natural, semi-natural or developed land. So, we should conserve the national parks and should support the authority.

History of the Environmental day

World Environment Day (also called as WED) has been started celebrating as an annual event on every 5th of June since 1973.It was first time celebrated in 1973 with the particular theme “Only one Earth”. Since 1974, the celebration campaign of the world environment day is hosted in different cities of the world.

Why World Environment Day is Celebrated

Some of the objectives of the world environment day campaign are mentioned below:

Ø  It is celebrated to make aware the common public about the environmental issues.

Ø  Encourage common people from different society and communities.

Ø  Let them know that community people are very essential to inhibit negative changes towards the environmental issues.

Ø  Encourage people to make their nearby surroundings safe and clean to enjoy safer, cleaner and more prosperous future.

World Environment Day Activities

Variety of activities are planned to celebrate this great event in different countries to encourage more people towards the celebration. Various news channels take part very actively in the celebration to cover the news and distribute messages about the celebration among common public through their news publications to bring effective and positive changes towards the environment to solve all the environmental issues. Some of the national and international level activities include street rallies, tree plantation, garbage recycling, surrounding areas clean-up, parades and so many activities in order to draw people attention towards wide range of environmental issues as well as bring difference.

17. “COVID-19”

INTRODUCTION:

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious or nosogenic or pestiferous or communicable disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The disease has since spread worldwide, leading to an ongoing pandemic. It is also effecting on this present situation or moment.


Identification:

The first Corona Virus case was identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.  The 2019 novel coronavirus disease was named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization.


How it spreads:

The virus that causes COVID-19 spreads mainly when an infected person is in close contact with another person. Small droplets and aerosols containing the virus can spread from an infected person's nose and mouth as they breathe, cough, sneeze, sing, or speak. Other people are infected if the virus gets into their mouth, nose or eyes.

 

Symptoms:

Symptoms of COVID-19 are variable, but often include fever, cough, fatigue, breathing difficulties, and loss of smell and taste. Symptoms begin one to fourteen days after exposure to the virus. Of those people who develop noticeable symptoms, most (81%) develop mild to moderate symptoms (up to mild pneumonia), while 14% develop severe symptoms (dyspneahypoxia, or more than 50% lung involvement on imaging), and 5% suffer critical symptoms (respiratory failureshock, or multiorgan dysfunction).

 

Prevention or Precaution:

Vaccine, Social distancing or physical distancing, Self-isolation, Face masks and respiratory hygiene, Hand-washing and hygiene, Surface cleaning, Ventilation and air filtration, Healthy diet and lifestyle, etc are some preventions or precautions from COVID-19 Virus.

अधिकांश गाँव खेती पर निर्भर हैं। इस संबंध में, विज्ञान पानी की आपूर्ति की सुविधा, मकई के खेतों के लिए रसायन आदि प्रदान करता है। अब एक दिन, सभी ग्रामीणों को विभिन्न प्रकारों जैसे बिजली, टीवी, मोबाइल, और कई अन्य में सुविधा प्रदान की जाती है।

शहरी या कस्बाई क्षेत्रों के लिए विज्ञान:

केवल विज्ञान ही शहरी या कस्बाई क्षेत्रों को शहरी या कस्बा बनाता है। कस्बाई क्षेत्रों में, अधिकांश कार्य मशीनों, प्रौद्योगिकियों, कंप्यूटरों, कारों, और किसी अन्य के उपयोग के साथ विज्ञान द्वारा सीधे किए गए हैं।

विज्ञान का बुरा या नकारात्मक प्रभाव:

विज्ञान पुरुषों को आलसी, थका देने वाला और विस्मित करने वाला जीवन देता है जहाँ पुरुष विज्ञान के बिना कुछ नहीं कर सकते। इसके अलावा, विज्ञान वायु, ध्वनि आदि जैसे प्रदूषण करता है। इसके अलावा, परमाणु बम, आग्नेयास्त्र, कंप्यूटर, मोबाइल और कुछ अन्य लोगों के लिए, इस दुनिया में कई आपराधिक कार्य या अपराध हो रहे हैं।

निष्कर्ष:

इस दुनिया में, विज्ञान का उपयोग सकारात्मक और नकारात्मक दोनों तरह से किया जाता है। लेकिन, हमें अपने सकारात्मक शिष्टाचार या कार्यों में हमेशा ध्यान और उपयोग करना चाहिए। तभी, विज्ञान हमें बिना किसी हानि और बिना किसी समस्या के सबसे खुशहाल और सबसे शानदार जीवन देता है ।

 

2. असम में बाढ़ / बाढ़ से प्रभावित

परिचय:-

असम और हमारे देश के कुछ अन्य हिस्सों में बाढ़ एक नियमित समस्या बन गई है। यह लोगों के लिए विभिन्न / कई / कई समस्याओं का कारण बनता है।

 

बाढ़ क्यों आती है: -

वर्षा के समय नदियों में बाढ़ की अधिकता से बाढ़ आती है। पहाड़ों और पहाड़ों में भारी बारिश भी बाढ़ का कारण बनती है।

 

इसका प्रभाव: -

                बाढ़ से हुई क्षति अनुमान से परे है। बाढ़ के लिए, खड़ी फसलें नष्ट हो जाती हैं, मवेशी मर जाते हैं, संपत्तियां क्षतिग्रस्त हो जाती हैं या खो जाती हैं और मकान ढह जाते हैं।

 

राहत के उपाय:

 भोजन, कपड़े, धन और आश्रय के लिए कुछ राहतें सरकार और कुछ सामाजिक सेवा संगठनों द्वारा बनाई जाती हैं।

 

बाढ़ कैसे नियंत्रित करती है:

ब्रह्मपुत्र घाटी और बारा घाटी में ढोल या तटबंधों के निर्माण से बाढ़ को नियंत्रित करने का एकमात्र तरीका है। नदी घाटी परियोजनाएं भी बाढ़ को नियंत्रित करने के लिए राष्ट्रव्यापी पैमाने पर किए गए कुछ उपाय हैं।

 

निष्कर्ष:

प्राकृतिक आपदाओं को समाप्त या पूरी तरह से हटाया नहीं जाना है, लेकिन थोड़ा बचाया या नियंत्रित किया जा सकता है। तो, सरकार और लोगों को स्वयं इस संबंध में सहयोग करना चाहिए।
