Answer:-
Bruno was a baby bear and a main character of the prose, “The Bond of Love”.
                One day the author and his companions were driving away towards some wild pigs to shoot them and some were shot and some escaped. At the same time, they saw a black sloth bear panting in the hot sun and with a baby bear in her back. One of his companions promptly shot the bear and the baby bear ran around. But, at last the author and his companions abled to catch in a sugarcane field. Thus, the author got him and carried it to their house.

2. Give a brief account of the author and his companion’s encountering the sloth bear and how was it captured?
Answer:-
One day author and his companions were driving away towards some wild pigs to shoot them and some were shot and some escaped. At the same time, they saw a black sloth bear panting in the hot sun and with a baby bear in her back. One of his companion promptly shot the bear and the baby bear ran around. But, at last the author and his companions abled to catch in a sugarcane field. Thus, the author got him and carried it to their house.

Answer:-
After the fire at the bear, they saw that the black fur on the sloth bear’s back moved and left the prostrate body. Then they also surprised to saw that, that was actually a baby bear, which had been riding on its mother’s back.

Answer:-
The wife of the author accepted the sloth with happily and delightfully.
After got the sloth bear, she was delighted and she put a coloured ribbon around its neck and christened a name by “Bruno”.

Answer:- The author wife was a kinder hearted woman who liked very much of the sloth bear.  She spent more time to look after the bear. She fed him various types of food and kept it safe from the others.  She also helped to attach with their families like Alsatian dogs, her children etc. and helped to playing with him.

6. What did Bruno eat when he became a pet bear?
Answer:-  Bruno ate many things like porridge, vegetables, fruits, nuts, meat, curry and rice. Also, he used to eat condiments and chillies, bread, eggs, chocolates, sweets, pudding, ice-cream etc. And as drinking things, he ate milk, tea, coffee, lime-juice, aerated water, buttermilk, beer, alcoholic liquor and some other liquids.

7. How did the bear spend his time in his younger days?
Answer-:- The bear or Bruno became very attached with author’s family within a few days. He felt quite free and very happy in his younger days and most of the time he was busying in playing, running into author’s kitchen and going to sleep in author’s bed.

8. What beautiful tricks were done by Bruno?
Answer:- Bruno had grown day by day from the beginning. He was made happy all the family and he could do some tricks. (1)When he was commanded by “Baba wrestle or Baba box” then he vigorously tackled anyone who came forward for a rough and tumble. And (2)when someone gave him a stick and said Baba ‘Hold gun’ then he pointed the stick at the person. Again, (3)when asked him Baba where’s baby then he quickly produced and cradled affectionately a stump of wood which he had carefully concealed in his straw bed.

9. What new name was given to Bruno? Who gave that name?
Answer:- The new name of Bruno was ‘Baba’. The author’s wife gave that name.

10. How did the narrator’s wife react after Bruno was sent to the zoo?
Answer:- When Bruno was sent to the zoo, the narrator’s wife was very excited and felt very sad. She was inconsolable and she wept and fretted. For some days, she could not eat anything and she wrote many letters to the curator of the zoo about how was Baba. And she also requested to author’s friends to see the bear in the zoo. After three months, she had gone to the zoo and met again Baba.

11. How did Baba react when he saw the author’s wife in the zoo?
Answer:- When the author, author’s friend and his wife went to the zoo to meet the bear. Author’s friend had conjectured(অনুমান কৰা) that the bear could not recognize his wife. But, this situation was totally different from the thinking. Escaped from some yards, the bear recognized her and he howled with happiness. As soon as, she ran up to the bear, petted him through the bars and the bear stood on his head in delight.

12. How was Bruno taken back to Bangalore?
Answer:- After some days when the bear was sent to the zoo, the author, author’s wife and author ‘s friends went to meet the bear. That day, author wife stayed many hours in the cage of the bear and at last she did not want to leave again the bear. So, she requested to the curator for back again the bear. But, after the superintendent had ordered, the curator left the bear and gave the bear with a cage for transporting the bear to Bangalore. And then, they had taken back the bear to Bangalore again.

13.  What was the moral of the prose, “The Bond of Love”.
Answer:-  The moral of the prose, “The Bond of Love”, the author want to express some unexpected characters of animal. As a man he also noticed the think and character of animals that an animal also understand the love and attraction. And they have many human qualities which make man impress regard the animal.

SUMMARY:    One day author and his companions were driving away towards some wild pigs to shoot them and some were shot and some escaped. At the same time they saw a black sloth bear panting in the hot sun and with a baby bear in her back. One of his companion promptly shot the bear and the baby bear ran around. But, at last the author and his companions able to catch in a sugarcane field. Thus, the author get him and carried it to their house.

              He gave the bear to his wife and she was delighted and named as Bruno. Author’s wife took care of the baby bear and fed him many different kinds foods of like porridge, vegetables, fruits, milk, tea, coffee, lime-juice etc. He became attach to all author’s family include the Alsatian dogs. And he felled quite free and happy. The bear spent his time in playing, running  into the kitchen and going to sleep in author’s beds.

In the prose the two accident had taken place. One day the bear ate a poison name Barium Carbonate which was put in author’s library to kill the rats. After ate this the bear suffered of paralysis and immediate author carried him to veterinary and at last fortunately saved by some injection and treatment. Another one day he also drank a gallon of old engine oil but nothing can be happened in that situation.

Day by day the bear had grown and he became bigger that everybody advised the author for sent the bear to zoo.  The author agreed to send him and he was sent to a zoo at Mysore.

But, the author’s wife did not like it. She wept and very excited about to leave the bear. She also felled very sad and she left eat for some days. She wrote some letters to curator of the zoo and asked about the bear. In the other hand the bear also looked very sad and he was going to be thin. From the date of sent the bear, author’s wife requested to go there and met to the bear. After a few days they went the zoo. Author’s friend thought that the bear would not recognize author wife but from some yards the bear recognized and the bear howled with happiness. Author’s wife gave him tea, lemonade, cakes and ice-cream and stayed in the cage at the closing time of the zoo. She wanted to back the bear and she did not wish to lose the bear again. So, she requested to the curator to give return the bear. But, the curator had not given the bear without permission of superintendent.  After the ordered had found he gave the bear with a cage for transporting the bear to Bangalore. At last they carried the bear to his house.

The author managed an island which was twenty feet long and fifteen feet wide and was surrounded by a dry pit and seven feet deep. A wooden box was kept to sleep and some straw was placed for warm. And managed the island that as he can live it comfortable. The bear was so happier than the zoo. Author’s wife spend most of her time with the bear and looked after him in anytime and any moment.

The moral of the prose, “The Bond of Love”, the author want to express some unexpected characters of animal. As a man they also notice the think and character of animals that a animal also understand the love and attraction. And they have many human qualities which make man to empress the animal.
