Q.1: What is Internet? Give a definition of Internet.
Answer: The internet is an interconnection of several computers from different networks spread across the world. It is a global network of the network system.

Q.2: Write a few line a history of the Internet?
Answer: The Internet was started by the Department of Defence (DOD) of the US of America. They first started a network named ARPANET or Advanced Recharge Projects Agency Network. This network was first established in California with a computer and also in Utah with three computers.
             After that, the Department of Defence allowed some universities to share and to communicate with their networks resources. Later, the network proceed to various department, universities, people and throughout the world.

Q.3: What are protocols? How many types of it?
Answer: The protocols are a set of rules which support the computers or any digital devices with the networks to communicate the Internet logically.
       There are two protocols. These are- (a) TCP or Transmission Control Protocol and (b) IP or Internet Protocol.

Q.4: What are the two protocols that are commonly used for working in the internet?
Answer: The two protocols are the Internet Protocol or IP and Transmission Control Protocol or TCP that are commonly used for for working in the internet.

Q.5: What is a channel?
Answer: A channel is a medium used to carry information or data from one computer or digital device to another computer or digital device.

Q.6: How does the channel connect with the Internet?
Answer: The channels are connected with the internet via routers and modems.

Q.7: What are the routers and modems? 
Or: What are the different between the routers and modems?
Answer:
(a) Routers are the devices which direct or connect with the internet traffic. Routers determines the best path to be taken.
            The modems connect to the Internet through telephone or cable lines or sims  for the computers or any digital devices with the networks.

(b) The routers connect the Internet directly. Whereas, the modems connect with the internet indirectly or through some other options or devices.

Q.8: What is a IP Address? How is it used?
Answer: IP address is address which avails in each computer or digital device system on the internet.

(a)IP Address is used to exchange the information from one computer or digital device to another computer or digital device.

(b) The IP address also used for sending and receiving email messages.
