Indian Legend:

Once upon a time, there was an ancient Buddhist ascetic or monk, named Bodhidharma. He cut off his eyelids because he felt sleepy during meditations. Ten tea plants grew out of the eyelids. The leaves of these plants when put in hot water and drunk banished sleep. It is said that these were the tea leaves.

At that time, the pirate gaped at Custard. He drank some wine from the bottle in his pocket. He fired two bullets, but the bullets did not hit Custard.

At last, the Dragon gobbled the pirate and he was died.

            Thus, Custard had saved Belinda and other pets from the Pirate.

18. (a) How does Ausable make Max believe that there is a balcony attached to his rooms? 5

Answer:

Ausable informed that that was the second time in the month that somebody got into his room through the balcony. He said that the balcony belonged to the next apartment. He also narrated that the room used to be part of a large unit. The next room through that door there used to be the living room. The balcony extended under his window and somebody entered his room through that.

 Ausable description of a balcony made it a convincing to Max.  He convinced Max that there was a balcony. The information of the balcony and the management were provided the techniques to believe the false information. Because, if Ausable could not convince Max that he and Fowler might be face in danger.

(b) Briefly describe hoe Ausable defeated Max’s scheme to take away the report. 5

Answer:

To save from Max and defeated Max’s scheme to take away the report, Ausable informed the false information of the balcony which was extended his window and the information of the visitor in the month. He also suspected Max in entering his room by the balcony.  Ausable also technically informed about the knocker as a police whom he expected to some extra protection for the report and observe everything was alright or not.

When the knocking sound was going more and more, and the doorknob turned, Ausable informed that that was the police whom he expected. Then Max jumped down from the window on the balcony. Actually, there was no any balcony under the window. So, Max was died at last and Ausable and Fowler saved from Max. Thus, Ausable defeated Max’s scheme to take away the report.

 

 

17. (a) Briefly describe the footprint seen by the two boys.

Answer:

One day, the two boys had seen a fresh muddy imprint of a pair of bare feet. The incident took place in the middle of London. They gazed/stared by seeing the remarkable/extraordinary sight. They saw that a fresh footmark appeared from nowhere.

After they had seen these, they followed the footprints one after another. They were descending the steps and progressing down the street. The boys were fascinated. But, the muddy impressions became fainter and fainter. At last, these were disappeared altogether.

Actually, the footprints were of a scientist named Griffin.

(b) Who was Griffin? How and why did he become invisible? How did he become a homeless wanderer?

Answer:

Griffin was a brilliant scientist.

After many experiments, Griffin carried out that the human body could become invisible.  After that, he swallowed some certain rare drugs and became transparent like a sheet of glass. It also remained as solid as glass. Griffin always stayed without clothes not to being seen.

            Griffin was a brilliant scientist, but he was rather a lawless person. His landlord did not like(disliked) him and tried to eject him. So, he set fire to the house to take revenge. After that, he had to remove his clothes to get away without being seen. From then, he became a homeless wonderer the streets, without clothes, without money and quite invisible.

It’s value in student life:

Students must be in disciplined in their studies. If they are in discipline in every field then they can be done anything in related to their studies. It also helps them to complete the whole learning’s in easily and wholly.

It’s effect on human being:

Discipline affects every human being in their life. If any man tries to do every work in discipline then all the works have been done easily and entirely satisfaction.

I like Football from my childhood. It is a game where we can able to exercise whole body through it. It makes happy and provides entertainment for me. I usually play football in my leisure time.

 

 

Benefits of this game:

Playing football improves our heart health and blood pressure. It increases muscles mass and bone strength. It reduces our body fat, building strength, stamina and speed. This game also trains our brain, improving concentration and coordination.

 

Conclusion:

Most of the games are benefited to our health. Football is also a part of it. For me, it is the best playing game which makes me happy, healthy and entertainment.

Through the Social Media, we can able to solve various problems with our day to day life. Social Media is a field of various knowledges. We can make communication with many people around the world. It is a platform where we can also run our business and other life living activities.

 

Misuses of Social Media:

The Social Media is mostly misuses by the frauds. Many cyber crimes usually happen now a day like honey tapping, black mailing, money cheating, job frauds etc. Also, the new generation has been wasting their valuable time in the social media. Most of the younger as well as old people turn obsession with social media.

 

Conclusion:

The Social Media is a special gift of science and technology. It is a type of useful & helpful tool for our life but not for misuse. So, we, the entire people should use it only for fair reason and in our good works. Otherwise, the misuse of social media causes our life to bad-turn and to death-turn.

One day, a dog with a piece of flesh in his mouth crosses a river walking on a narrow footbridge. As he is crossing, he suddenly looks at the river water. Then, he sees his shadow reflected in the river water. He thinks it to be another dog. So, he feared that the other dog would take away the piece of flesh. To save the piece of flesh from another dog, the dog barks. Actually, it is the shadow of own image which is reflected in the water. Unfortunately, the dog does not understand the natural-science theory. As soon as he barks, the piece of flesh drops down into the water and he loses it only for his foolishness.

 

Moral : We should be complacent with what we have.

I thank you heartily for your recent sweet letter/cheery note. I here trust with you about how I faced the last examination for your anxious/interest to know.

I had been preparing for the examination with full activity and sincerely. I had prepared a time table/routine for my all subjects. I had been reading two subjects (write the two subjects like ……..and……… in place of ‘two subjects’) in morning and two subjects in afternoon and the other two at night. I also managed two hours for extra coaching classes from one experienced teacher to solve my problems and the test papers. With daily reading, I had also cared for my health and exercise regularly in the morning.

During the examination, at first I read the paper carefully and had written the entire questions to the actual points. Today a heavy storm began to blow from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and along with the storm, very large hailstones began to fall. Dhubri town and its surrounding areas badly affected from the hail-storm. For it, hundreds of trees uprooted, electric wires torn and several houses had been damaged badly. According to the information, properties worth crores of rupees were damaged. Till now, no loss of life has been reported.
