famous surgeons could not safe the Maharaja after/through the operation and the

the hundredth tiger takes the final revenge upon the Tiger King as the

As usual, he wished to hunt tigers in Pratibandapuram. But the Maharaja was
firm in his resolve. So, he refused this permission.
But, he prevented a British officer from
fulfilling his desire. So, the Maharaja stood in danger of losing his kingdom
itself. After some discussion between the Maharaja and the dewan, some fifty
rings ordered from a famous British company of jewellers in Calcutta. The
Maharaja sent the whole lot to the British officer’s good lady and she accepted
all.
In
two days, a bill for three lakh of rupees came from the British jewellers. The
Maharaja was happy that though he had lost three lakh of rupees, he had managed
to retain his kingdom or in danger of losing his throne. (148 words)

environment. His thinking’s and his manners as a man affects on me.
Mr. Lamb perceives things in positive manner at life. According to him, everybody has got two arms, two legs, two eyes and two
ears, also has got a tongue and a brain. So, he or she can get on the way which
she or he wants like all the rest. If he or she chooses and sets his or her
mind to it, then he or she can get on better than all the rest in their

succeeded to escape getting her hair shingled. Thus, Zitkala-Sa tried in vain

Because Zitkala’s mother taught her that shingled hair was only for the
unskilled warriors. When they were captured and then their hair was shingled by

scene, Bama was so amused at the funny incident and elaborated to her brother,
Annan.
Annan was not amused by Bama’s story
instead he was very sad for the incident.
Annan said her that the man or the elder was not being funny. The man or
the elder belonged to a low caste like Annan and Bama. If he touched it, then
it would be polluted.
When her brother
explained about the lower caste and untouchability then she understood and
experienced the untouchability. This made her feel sad and suddenly transform

this unit, “Memories of Childhood”,

Indian woman born in the late nineteenth century and the second is by a
contemporary Tamil
Dalit
writer.
There is common links
between the two accounts. Zitkala-Sa’ was a Native American woman who
struggled and triumphed in a time when severe prejudice prevailed towards Native
American culture and women. As same as this, Bama is a Tamil Dalit woman from a
Roman Catholic family who struggled against the untouchability. Both were faced
problems by the caste system. They had to face the untouchability and caste

stood as if in humble supplication. It was with boundless joy that the Maharaja
took careful aim at the beast. The tiger fell in a crumpled heap. He announced
that he has killed the hundredth tiger and his vow has been fulfilled.

of the hunters took aim from a distance of one foot and shot the tiger after
the tiger king had left. The hunter killed it without missing his mark and died

stood up like quills all over it. One of those slivers pierced the Maharaja’s
right hand. He pulled it out with his left hand and continued to play with the
prince.
The next day,

surgeons were brought in from Madras. After holding a consultation they decided
to operate. The operation took place but they did not safe the Maharaja.

Besides, when the tiger king said that he wanted tiger then the dewan replied

statue of Gandhi; the sweet stall, the stall selling fried snacks, and all the
other shops next to each other.
Besides, she was happy at the street light which
was demonstrating and changed from blue to violet. The political parties and their
